Naked Waste (Paul Cumming/Butcher Blades) + Lowdowns (Elliott Taylor/Tiger Choir)

Saturday, December 3, 2016. 6-9pm. Free.

Chamber presents:

The launch of Naked Waste’s new single, "Hyaena (Vols.1-3)", accompanied by stills from the film clip by filmmaker Ivan Masic of Exponto. Primarily composed and performed on the bass guitar, Paul Cumming—with twin brother Darren—scaffolds his spare, wounded folk with arctic digital percussion and a mist of disembodied vocals. It’s a project tethered to the geography of disremembered places—a communion of wonder and dereliction. From industrial exclusion zones to creeks buried at the bottom of suburban cul-de-sacs, these places of influence are used as a kind of vocabulary for the human interior—for unstable landscapes of self.

The supporting act will be the articulate, vulnerable future-soul of Lowdowns (aka Elliott Taylor from Tiger Choir). His performance will be one of the very first shows for this unique new project.
